Where it all began
Founded in 2022, when her daughter Myla was just six months old, Bek did what most creative mums do — she started making something. Not because she had to, but because she wanted to.
Myla Jane began as a hobby, a creative outlet, a way to pour love into something tangible during one of the most beautiful seasons of her life. But the more Bek dressed Myla, the more she noticed something missing.
There was plenty of girlswear out there — but not enough that felt both genuinely beautiful and built for real life. Pieces that could handle the washing machine on repeat, survive a full day of play, and still look like something worth keeping. Feminine without being fussy. Pretty without being precious.
Created with care
Before a single piece was designed, Bek spent time finding the right fabrics. Not the easiest option, or the most obvious one — but the right one. The kind that feels different the moment you touch it.
Every fabric is chosen for how it moves, how it washes, how it feels against small skin. Every trim — the buttons, the ribbons, the little details most people never notice — is sourced with the same care. Nothing is added because it is convenient. Everything is there because it is worth it.
That commitment has never changed. It is still the first question we ask about every piece we make.
Inspired by girlhood
Myla Jane was built on something simple and true — a love of girlhood. Of soft femininity. Of the quiet magic that lives in the everyday moments most people rush past.
A little girl in something she loves, spinning in the kitchen. The softness of a knit against small shoulders. The way a good outfit can make an ordinary Tuesday feel like something worth remembering.
Every piece we create is made to honour that. To slow it down. To make it last.
A team of girl-mums
Today, Myla Jane is a team of three — all mums, all with two girls each. Six little girls between us, and every single one of them shows up in what we make.
That's what makes Myla Jane different. This isn't a brand built from a distance. It's built from the inside of girlhood, by the people who know it best.
More than just clothing
Myla Jane has grown into something we could not have imagined when it began — but it has never moved away from what it was built on.
A love of girlhood. A belief that little girls deserve beautiful things. And a quiet conviction that the everyday moments — the ordinary Tuesdays, the school run, the spinning in the kitchen — are worth making beautiful too.
It is why we make the clothes we make. It is why we make jewellery — matching pieces for a mum and her mini — because the magic of girlhood is even better when it is shared.
We are so glad you’re here for it.
